I have been a truly horrible blogger this past week.  I'm sorry!  There's no excuses, really.  I just didn't blog.  But I'm going to focus back on it this week!  No more slacking off.  I did, however, finally do a lot of reading this week!

What I've Just Finished Reading

GUYS, I FINALLY FINISHED CROOKED KINGDOM!  My goodness, it's only been years.  Joking. But seriously, it took me an embarrassing amount of time to finish this book. But no longer! I'm done with it and I adored it!  I can't wait to share my thoughts about it with you (review will be up tomorrow - yay!)

What I'm Currently Reading

I've decided to take a bit of a break from high fantasy and go for a nice, light contemporary!  Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson fit the bill perfectly, so I've started to read it!  I'm really enjoying it so far!

What I'm Reading Next

I can't decide!  I just got Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones and Caraval by Stephanie Garber and they both sound so amazing!  I'd love to hear your in put in which one I should read next.

What I Just Finished Reading

I was really feeling like a quick, easy romance novel the other day so I decided to pick up Vicious by L.J. Shen on a whim.  I've actually already finished and reviewed it!  You can find my review here. 

What I'm Currently Reading

I am currently reading both Crooked Kingdom (yes, still, it's taking me 5ever) and Pax by Sara Pennypacker, which has been super emotional so far!

What I'm Reading Next

I still want to read Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson once I'm finished with Crooked Kingdom!  I actually woke up this morning to a snow day so I'm hoping I get to finish Crooked Kingdom and move on to it!

This week has been a pretty great one for reading!  I've finished a couple books and am starting to work through all the books I've started and haven't finished the past couple months.  I'm "currently reading" six books right now I think? At least, that's what Goodreads is telling me.  My goal is to get that number down to two!

What I Just Finished Reading

I just finished a couple books, actually, but the one I was most excited to finish was Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer.  I already have a review up for it on the blog for it, so you can check that out to see what I thought!

What I'm Currently Reading

I've finally picked up Crooked Kingdom again!!!  I've made some head way in it, too.  I have about 200 pages down.  It's a big book though, so I can't promise I'll finish it this week, especially with midterms coming up for school. 

What I'm Reading Next

After finished Crooked Kingdom, I'll probably need a light hearted contemporary read!  I'm thinking I'll probably pick up Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson!  I've heard really great things about it and I think it will be exactly what I need!

I feel like I've been in such a reading slump lately and I don't know what to do about it!  There's so many great books all around me but I can't seem to muster up any excitement for them and it's driving me insane.  I want to be reading so much more than I am but I think maybe school is getting in the way?  I always struggle to balance reading for pleasure with all the assignments and school readings I have to do.  Still, here's how my reading week has been!

What I Just Finished Reading

I just finished reading Easy by Jordan S. Gray.  It was a really quick and pretty fun novel but I still had some problems with it.  It releases on Thursday and that's when my review of it will be posted!

What I'm Currently Reading

So, I'm still trudging along reading Between the Lines.  And I don't mean that in a bad way!  I'm enjoying the book but it's just taking me forever to get through.  I'm hoping to have it finished within the next couple of days.  Besides that, I'm reading How to Get into the Twin Palms for school and I'm actually really enjoying it!

What I'm Reading Next

I've decided I might need a good old reread to get me back into the swing of reading so I might just pick up A Court of Mist and Fury (an all time favorite and sure-fire way to get out of a reading slump).

Sorry for the lack of posts last week, guys! Classes are picking up so I was pretty much drowning in academic reading and lectures.  But fear not!  I'm getting the hang of this schedule and am excited to be back to posting normally this week!

What I Just Finished Reading

I just finished reading Charlotte's Web for my Children's Lit class!  It was an interesting experience reading it as an adult but I still really liked it.  Honestly, I was surprised at how dark it got at parts.

What I'm Currently Reading

I'm reading Easy by Jordan S. Gray.  It's my first book by this author and I'm enjoying it so far!  Definitely a fun and light hearted read. 

What I'm Reading Next

I hope to be reading Off the Page by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer soon!  The first book is amazing and I'm excited to continue the series!

What I Just Finished Reading

I actually haven't finished a book this week.  We started classes again so I've been a bit preoccupied sorting everything out and getting back into the rhythm of school.  

What I'm Currently Reading

Along with reading Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer, I've also started reading Charlotte's Web by E.B. White.  It's the first book we're reading in my Children's Literature Class an I'm really excited about it!  I think I've read it before but I'm not 100% sure.

What I'm Reading Next

My goal after finishing these books is to finally jump back into Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and try to finish it.  I want to know what happens so bad but for some reason I've just been avoiding reading it.  Fear not, I shall finally finish it soon!

What I Just Finished Reading

So, I just finished reading The Edge of Never and . . . well, it didn't go so well.  I actually decided to DNF it at about 58% through.  I'll have a review posted with all my thoughts on it soon!

What I'm Currently Reading

I've decided to start reading Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer.  I've never read anything by them before but I've heard these books are amazing so I'm really excited about finally having a chance to read it!

What I'm Reading Next

I'm itching to dive into so many different books right now, especially with the ones I got from Christmas sitting there looking all amazing.  I think I'll just have to see how I feel once I finished Between the Lines.  I may be reading the second book in the series, Off the Page.

What I've Just Finished Reading 

I was desperate to read another contemporary this weekend and I had heard so many amazing things about The Hating Game by Sally Thorne so I decided to buy it, spur of the moment.  And holy cow, I'm so happy I did.  This book was amazing and hilarious and I'll be posting a review about this very soon!

What I'm Currently Reading

I've decided to take a break from the fantasy books I was struggling through and picked up The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski.  I've had a thing for contemporaries lately so I'm hoping this one is good!

What I'm Reading Next

You know, I really have no idea what I'm reading next.  I got quite  few books for Christmas so I guess it will depend what sort of mood I'm in!  I'm rapidly running out of contemporaries to read so I'm hoping fantasy and dystopian stories start appealing to me again.

What I've Just Finished Reading

This weekend, I spent 7 hours sitting in an airport, 4 hours on a plane, and 10+ hours at a wrestling tournament (which basically consisted of watching my brother wrestle for about 15 minutes and then reading in the stands the rest of the time.  

I had a lot of reading time, to say the least.  In fact, I finished three books this weekend. The most recent being The Anatomy of a Misfit by Andrea Portes.

What I'm Currently Reading

Okay, I gotta be totally honest with you guys: yes, I'm still reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.  BUT I've also started reading Heartless by Marissa Meyer.  I don't know why I'm putting off finishing Crooked Kingdom so much.  I know it's going to be amazing, I just don't want to let the story go!

What I'm Reading Next

Gosh, there's so many books I really want to read next.  I think I'll probably start The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan!  I haven't really read any of his books since stopping the middle of his Heroes of Olympus series.  I'm both nervous and excited to start reading another Riordan series and I hope I love it!

What I've Just Finished Reading

It's been a while since I've picked up a Colleen Hoover book so when I heard about her novel, Too Late, I needed to read it.  I bought it yesterday and I've just finished it.  Holy cow, what a crazy ride!  I've rated it four stars on Goodreads but I'm still trying to figure out whether I liked it or not.  A review for it should be out early next week! 

What I'm Currently Reading

I'm currently still reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.  It's so good so far, I just haven't had the time to sit down and fully concentrate on it.  I've been in need of some contemporary and this book is definitely not a contemporary.  I'm hoping I'll be able to finish it this week! 

What I'm Reading Next

I've gotten a load of books recently so it was kinda hard to choose what I wanted to read but I'm pretty interested in the book Vendetta by Catherine Doyle!  I was really interested in reading it when it first came out but never got around to picking it up until now!  I'm hoping it'll meet my expectations!

What I've Just Finished Reading

I was lucky enough to be able to get am advanced reader copy of the book The Bad Boy Bargain by Kendra Highley earlier last week and I started reading it immediately!  I finished it pretty quickly and I'm excited to share my thought about it with you guys later this week! 

What I'm Currently Reading

I'm currently reading Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys!  Oh my goodness, you guys, it is incredible so far.  I'm actually reading it for one of my college classes but it's one of those books I've seen nearly every single time I've walked into the bookstore.  I'm really happy I've finally been pushed to pick it up. 

What I'm Reading Next 

Okay, after things calm down a bit and I finish Between Shades of Gray, I seriously, seriously need to sit down and finish reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.  Its been sitting on my bedside table looking all pretty this whole time and I'm desperate to find out what happens to my precious little crow babies!

What I've Just Finished Reading

You guys, it's been such a bad couple weeks for reading!  Midterms have started at school and things have been crazy.  I'm swamped with tests, essays, and homework.  The last thing I finished reading was Robinson Crusoe which was for my 18th Century Literature class.  Let me tell you, I am not a fan of this book.  

What I'm Currently Reading

This weekend was super stormy and cold - perfect reading weather!  I started reading Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo.  Everyone has been so excited for this one - I've been desperately dodging spoilers online.  It's amazing so far, no surprise there.  I'm really looking forward to see how this one goes!

What I'm Reading Next

I have a feeling that after I finish Crooked Kingdom, I'll probably be craving a nice contemporary so I plan to read The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson!  I really love Morgan's other books so I'm excited to dive into this one - even though it is absolutely ginormous. 

Even though reading and blogging has been pretty slow lately, I'm really excited about all the books I'm reading and the ones that are coming up.  This weekend was such an awesome jump start to give me a chance to start reading again.

What I've Just Finished Reading

Oh, my goodness, you guys!  I've been a reading fiend lately.  At least it's felt that way after such a long reading slump.  I'm taking a class at my college that focuses on Young Adult Literature and it's been forcing me to expand my interest and tastes.  I'm taking book risks!  And they've been amazing! The book I just finished (last night, in fact) is Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson.  

I've seen this book everyone, for almost as long as I've been in love with reading but I've never picked it up because I didn't think it would be something I would enjoy.  But holy cow, I'm in love with this book.  It's so emotional and painful and the main character is snarky as hell.  I'm so excited to share more of my thoughts in the review scheduled for this week! 

What I'm Currently Reading

So, I'm reading a couple books right now but the one I've found myself picking up the most is Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. 

This book is so interesting and I'm flying through it!  I'm really excited to see how everything (lol) wraps up.  Plus, this cover is so gorgeous, I just can't. 

What I'm Going to Read Next

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo!

I'm so excited for this one!!  I loved Six of Crows.  I'm so looking forward to jumping back into the world with these characters.
