It's Monday, What Are You Reading? is a fun weekly meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey where we share what we've read and reviewed over the past week and what we plan to read next.
What I've Just Finished Reading
I was desperate to read another contemporary this weekend and I had heard so many amazing things about The Hating Game by Sally Thorne so I decided to buy it, spur of the moment. And holy cow, I'm so happy I did. This book was amazing and hilarious and I'll be posting a review about this very soon!
What I'm Currently Reading
I've decided to take a break from the fantasy books I was struggling through and picked up The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski. I've had a thing for contemporaries lately so I'm hoping this one is good!
What I'm Reading Next
You know, I really have no idea what I'm reading next. I got quite few books for Christmas so I guess it will depend what sort of mood I'm in! I'm rapidly running out of contemporaries to read so I'm hoping fantasy and dystopian stories start appealing to me again.
What are you guys reading this Monday? Read any amazing books you're dying to talk about over the weekend? Have you read The Hating Game? BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME. PLEASE READ IT! Ahem. Let me know about all the wonderful books in your life down in the comments below! Hope you had a great Christmas if you celebrate and, if not, I hope your weekend was amazing!
I keep hearing/seeing such great things about The Hating Game! It's like there was a delayed reaction (the book published in August, but people really started talking about it in November/late October). :D All of my bloggy friends read it and loved it, so I know I'll give in eventually. Hate-to-love romances are my favorite, so I'm sure I'll love it. It's just a matter of time. I hope you enjoy The Edge of Never!
ReplyDeleteI just finished Caraval (WOAH SO GOOD), and I'll be reading Carve the Mark. I actually have very low expectations for Carve the Mark... we'll see how it goes.
Happy reading, Ashtyn! =)

There was a delayed reaction! I hadn't even heard about it until a couple weeks ago. I DEFINITELY think it's worth it - especially if you're a fan of romance (particularly hate to love romance stories). So good!
ReplyDeleteIM SO JEALOUS YOU GOT TO READ IT! And so happy it was good! I haven't decided whether I'll end up reading Carve the Mark . . . I'll see what you think of it!
Thanks for stopping by!
