Both have wonderful qualities. Both are from really great books that I enjoyed very much.
But . . . I'm definitely Team Kaidan.
I think Kaidan is awesome, amazing, sexy, caring, sweet, a million and one adjectives. But he's also flawed. He's not perfect and that makes me love him more!
For me, he's that male protagonist that I can really admire because he has his own problems (like, DEMON type problems. And that's totally literal) and knows that being around Anna could potentionally cost him his life, but he doesn't care! All he wants to do is help her learn more about herself! He's willing to risk everything for this girl.
He's what a YA crush is all about. Hot and a total bad ass but also a guy who can be gentle and sweet.
Not to mention, he's learning to love. Never in his life has he once been told that he's love. Not until Anna. It scares him a bit but he still wants to do what's right by her. And if that means giving up his own happiness, so be it. If it means laying down his life, so be it.
