This Tuesday, I was fortunate enough to drive to L.A. with my mom to meet Leigh Bardugo! This was my first time going to a book signing like this and I had such a good time! Not only was Leigh Bardugo in attendance, but Marie Lu, the author of upcoming release, Warcross, was there! AND Christine Riccio (aka PolandBananaBooks) was leading the discussion with questions. I was so happy I hadn't missed it!
The Q&A was so much fun and really interesting (and I wish I had recorded it or something). If you want to read it, Stacee over at Adventures of a Book Junkie has the questions and the answers from the authors (plus some awesome photos)! Check it out here.
Meeting Leigh was so great and I loved hearing about her characters, writing process, and advice for writers firsthand. She was super funny and had the whole room cracking up with her answers to questions. One of the most exciting things she *briefly* discussed was a new project she was working on about the secrets societies in Yale. She said it was basically a J. Crew catalogue but with murder.
I was lucky enough to get a copy of Wonder Woman: Warbringer personalized and signed and I also had an extra copy which Leigh signed! I know many people who love Leigh Bardugo's writing and Wonder Woman will not be able to meet her and get a signed copy. Because of this, I'm giving away the extra copy I was able to get signed and hoping it goes to a good home!

My favorite is still Crooked Kingdom. It was a roller coaster of feels. I wanted to throw it across the room at one point. So I grabbed a shoe and threw the shoe instead. It felt good.
ReplyDeleteCrooked Kingdom was AMAZING!! It took me a surprising amount of time to finish but I think that's because I didn't want the story to end with those characters!
DeleteThanks for entering, Karen! Good luck!
