Top Ten Books With Sensory Reading Memories!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl in which we share out top ten lists relating to the bookish topic assigned that week.

This week's topic is...

Top Ten Books With Sensory Reading Memories!

What a cool topic! I've never really thought of this before but I'm excited to make this list and read about everyone else's sensory reading memories!

1. Twilight by Stephanie Meyer
I remember the first time reading this on the couch downstairs, my parents watching TV in the background. It was evening time and I was just reading by the light of the TV and the kitchen lights in the other room.

2. New Moon by Stephanie Meyer
Okay, yeah, another Twilight book but this was the series that really got me into reading! It's no wonder my memories about them are so vivid. I remember reading this one in the car during a road trip and being absolutely devastated that Edward had left.

3. City of Glass by Stephanie Meyer
I remember reading the manor scene for the first time super late at night to the light of my TV so that my parents wouldn't see my room light and know that I was still awake.

4. Wings by Aprilynne Pike
I remember reading this one in eighth grade in class after I had finished a test early!

I distinctly remember reading this at my brother's soccer practice when it first came out. I closed myself away inside my mom's car and read by the stadium lights and absolutely flipped out because of all the things that were happening!

6. Bad Romeo by Leisa Rayven
This I read my sophomore year of college. I remember sitting down in the sky bridge in my school's library with the early morning light shining through the windows while I read this on my phone and waited for class to start!

7. Jekel Loves Hyde by Beth Fantaskey
With this one, I remember both getting it at Barnes & Noble with my friend and then going back to her house (us both armed with new books) and reading it in her room!

These are all the books I have sensory memories of! I've noticed that most of them are from several years ago -- middle school and high school! I don't know why I don't have more sensory memories for recent reads but I suspect it has something to do with how frequently and quickly I read now. Also, these are all books I've read a couple times so maybe that has cemented the sensory memories? IDK, man, but it was cool to reminisce and think of these things!

Let me know what books you have sensory memories connected to in the comments below!
