Waiting on Wednesday #94

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

Title: Bad Romance
Series: None
Author: Heather Demetrios
Genre: Young Adult, Romance, Contemporary
Publisher: Henry Holt & Co
Publication Date: June 13, 2017

Grace wants out. Out of her house, where her stepfather wields fear like a weapon and her mother makes her scrub imaginary dirt off the floors. Out of her California town, too small to contain her big city dreams. Out of her life, and into the role of Parisian artist, New York director—anything but scared and alone.
Enter Gavin: charming, talented, adored. Controlling. Dangerous. When Grace and Gavin fall in love, Grace is sure it's too good to be true. She has no idea their relationship will become a prison she's unable to escape.
Deeply affecting and unflinchingly honest, this is a story about spiraling into darkness—and emerging into the light again.

Why I'm waiting on Bad Romance this Wednesday:  Okay, I'm gonna be totally real here, the cover of this book is absolutely gorgeous and had a huge influence on why I became interested in it.  But, besides that, it sounds like an incredibly intense book that seems to deal with a lot of tough and often taboo subjects.  Book like this are important and I'm excited to see how it is.

What are you waiting on this Wednesday?  Are you excited for Bad Romance? Also, how gorgeous is that cover?!?  I want it on my shelf now, please.  I'm really hoping this one is as good as it sounds, and as powerful as I suspect it will be.  Leave a comment below and let me know what books you're looking forward to this week!

    1. I don't think I've read any of her other books but I can't be 100% sure. Her name definitely sounds familiar. I'm glad to hear her other books have been great! I hope this one is, too!

      Thanks for stopping by!

  2. OMG Ashtyn! I cannot wait to read this book! The cover really is gorgeous. I've read Demetrios's Dark Caravan series, and I loved those books. This novel is obviously quite different but I am 100% sure Demetrios has written an amazing and powerful story here. I hope you enjoy this book when you get the chance to read it!

Have a fabulous week, Ashtyn. =)
