Waiting on Wednesday #78

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine which spotlights highly anticipated upcoming releases.

Title:  Wink Poppy Midnight
Series:  N/A
Genre:  Young Adult, Mystery
Publisher:  Dial Books
Publication Date:  March 22, 2016

The intrigue of The Virgin Suicides and the "supernatural or not" question of The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer coalesce in this young adult mystery, where nothing is quite as it seems, no one is quite who you think, and everything can change on a dime.
Every story needs a hero.
Every story needs a villain.
Every story needs a secret.
Wink is the odd, mysterious neighbor girl, wild red hair and freckles. Poppy is the blond bully and the beautiful, manipulative high school queen bee. Midnight is the sweet, uncertain boy caught between them. Wink. Poppy. Midnight. Two girls. One boy. Three voices that burst onto the page in short, sharp, bewitching chapters, and spiral swiftly and inexorably toward something terrible or tricky or tremendous.
What really happened?
Someone knows.
Someone is lying.

Why I'm waiting on Wink Poppy Midnight this Wednesday:  I was a huge fan of April Genevieve Tucholke's first book, Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea (find my review here) but I never read the second book in that series.  Still, she's an enormously talented author and I'm very intrigued by the sound of this book (though also a bit confused).  Hopefully it's a good one!

Did you ever read Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea?  Did you enjoy it?  I'm really hoping this book is as good (if not better) than that one!  Who else is looking forward to reading this book?  Let me know in the comments below!
