National Readathon Day!

Today is National Readathon Day!  What is that, exactly?  Well, it's an event created by Penguin Random House, GoodReads, Mashable, and the National Book Foundation to promote reading!  If you want to read more about the origins of this totally awesome event, you can visit here

To celebrate today, I'm teaming up with Casper - a new mattress company who has made some seriously comfy mattresses (perfect for curling up on with a book) - and discussing the next ten books I plan on jumping into bed with!

My Next 10 Reads

Cinder by Marissa Meyer
This one has been sitting on my shelf for ages.  I've heard a lot of different thoughts on it and I'm ready to see what all the fuss has been about!

Dead of Winter by Kresley Cole
Holy wow, I love this series so much.  I'm so excited to pick up this book - it feels like it has been ages since I read the last one!  I can't wait to cuddle up with this one.

I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson
This is another one that has been sitting on my shelf for a while and I'm just dying to read.  I've heard so many good things about it so I'm excited to pick it up!

I haven't really read any books by Holly Black before but with everyone I've talked to, they either love them or hate them.  This sounds like exactly my kind of read so I'm interested to see how it goes!

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
I've heard nothing but good things about this book and, trust me, I've heard a lot.  It just sounds so good and it's not out yet but it will be soon and I just need it now!

Exquisite Captive by Heather DeMetrios
I'm so interested in this book!  It sounds absolutely magical (Genie pun *forced laughter*).  Plus, I really love the cover.

Compulsion by Martina Boone
I love the sound of this book.  I'm a sucker for novels that are set in the South and since this one has some magical elements thrown in, you know I'm sold!

Dangerous Girls by Abigail Haas
I'll admit, I was initially pulled in my the sequel to this book, not this one.  But I figured I need to read these in order so I can get the full effect!  I'm excited to see where this one goes.

Between the Spark and the Burn by April Genevieve Tucholke
I adored the first book in the series but I haven't picked this one off my shelf yet because I've heard some mixed reviews about it.  I'm a bit nervous to read it, honestly!

The Unhappening of Genesis Lee by Shallee McArthur
I was given this book as a present from my awesome friend, Brandi, and I'm so excited to jump into bed with it!  The cover is just gorgeous and it sounds like my cup of tea!

I want to thank Casper for bringing this awesome event to my attention!  Check out their website - they have a lot o really awesome things to offer!

The people at Casper and I want to know what books are piled on your nightstand?  What are you going to read next?
