Feature & Follow #29

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted over at Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.

This week's question is...

Q.  How have your reading habits changed in the past few years?  Did you get interested in a new genre?  Do you read more?  Less?  Why do you think your habits changed, if they did?

For me, the most noticeable change in my reading habits is the variety of novels I pick up.  Before, I was really picky about what I picked up at the store and decided to read.  Now, I'm more willing to branch out and look for the not-so-popular books and give them a shot.  I also have read some New Adult books which I have liked quite a bit.  Besides that, I've noticed that I spend less time reading but read more than before.  And what I mean by that is that I can pick up a three hundred page novel and finish it in one sitting, when before, the same book would take me a day or two to complete.  So I've gotten a lot faster, too!

  1. Wow, I wish I can read faster now! Haha. I am a fairly average paced reader, but sometimes I wish I can read multiple books at once! I just want to read them all.

    1. I've gotten into the habit of picking up multiple books at once which can cause quite the problem! I'm trying to stick to reading one book at a time but it's so hard to resist!

  2. I've always read quickly and avidly. And I've always liked to jump genres from classics to romances, but throughout all the jumps, my favorite genre is fantasy and paranormal romances. Love them!

  5. I've always been a fast reader so I can relate. If I read during the day, I will totally finish the book. New follower.

    1. If I finish a book in one sitting, I've found that I tend to like them more because it's all so fresh in my head.

  8. I love finding less popular books and trying out new genres. I'm quite an average reader speed wise, but I do read ebooks a lot quicker than physical ones.

    1. I tend to read physical books more quickly! I don't know, there's something about having the book in my hand and feeling the pages that motivated me to read more frequently and faster!
