Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted over at Parajunkee and Alison Can Read.
This question this week is:
Q: Tell us about the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book - and how did you react?
Oh God, this calls for a Supernatural gif. There are so many scenes I can think of . . . I happen to be a really emotional reader so I basically cry at anything in books.
The first one I can think of is Where the Red Fern Grows by Wilson Rawls. I sobbed so hard reading that book. I think I read it in sixth grade with my mom and we both had tears streaming down our faces at the end of that. The most recent . . . Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. I sobbed throughout that entire book, but especially at the end. It was a bittersweet sort of sobbing because I was satisfied (kind of) with the ending but I was so upset it was over. Another time that pops into my head is when I was reading The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa. I did not expect that to happen at all. I was crying so hard, I'm pretty sure I started hyperventilating and let me tell you, that ain't pretty.
What was the most emotional scene you've ever read in a book?
LOVE that gif :D
ReplyDeleteI haven't read Where the Red Fern Grows (it was a school requirement for the reading level lower than mine, because of course, I was advanced!). I haven't read Clockwork Princess, either (I'm waiting for a copy from the public library). I have a feeling that I might cry or chuck the book across the room! :D
Thanks for visiting my blog! I've followed back via GFC.
And I WAS reading Splintered - but now I have to start over, because I wasn't home all day, and when I had started it, I hadn't gotten that far. Hopefully I can restart and finish tomorrow! :D
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
Thanks for the follow & FF visit. I am consciously avoiding Clockwork Princess for the very reasons you just said! I don't have time right now to be heartbroken (& I know I will be, my BFF has already read it and told me) and I don't want the series to end just yet. *Sigh* Freaking LOVE your blog layout!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read those books but have def. heard of them!
ReplyDeleteOld follower & wow what a nice blog you have! :)

My sister and I are getting ready to watch Supernatural on Netflix. I'm ashamed I haven't watched it yet, lol.
ReplyDeleteGah, Where the Red Fern Grows! I can't remember what grade we had to read that book, but I felt like they were torturing us. I think we watched the movie, if there is one for it, or I might be confusing the movie with a different one.
I haven't read TID yet, but everyone who has is talking about how emotional The Clockwork Princess made them. I can't wait to read those books! I bought the first three Iron Fey books and can't wait to read those, too. I have some review books I'm reading right now.
