Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

Man, what a year this has been.  So much happened - some good, some bad.  But mostly good.  I've grown a lot as a person and matured a whole lot, too.  I also started something that has changed my life in a huge and positive way.  That thing is this blog.
Six months ago, I would never have guessed that I would have become so immersed in the opportunities this blogging/reading/writing community has to offer.  It started as a fun idea and a way to pass time and has morphed into a large part of my life.  Through this blog, I have met so many amazing people, made a lot of great friends, and have been introduced to so many books that I have grown to love.
Since I was unable to make any real reading goals this past year, I've decided to make a couple for this coming year!
Reading Goals for 2013
I want to read at least 100 books this year.  I've never really kept track of all that I read in a year so I'm not sure whether I'm seriously over shooting or under shooting my usual amount.  Either way, I will try my hardest to reach my goal!
I want to read more books that I actually am interested in.  I've noticed that a lot of the time recently, I pick up a book just because I need to get a review down or I heard that someone else liked it and thought that it sounded okay.  I want to be able to enjoy this experience to the fullest and that will happen if I read what I want to.

I will write at least two reviews every week.  I want to keep up with this blog and for the past month or so, that's been hard.  I want to shake off the review slump I've been falling into and just get back to sharing my thoughts on the books I read!

Cut down on my TBR list.  I have so many books on my shelf that I still need to read and I just keep adding more and more to the pile.  I want to read the books I have before going out and buying more!
My Most Anticipated 2013
And a couple that don't have covers yet:
The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Endless Knight by Kresley Cole
The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
The Traitor Son by Julie Kagawa
Through the Zombie Glass by Gena Showalter
So what do you guys think?  What are your goals for this upcoming year?  What books are you most excited for?  Leave comments below!

  1. I have a feeling there are going to be some AMAZING books this year! I feel the same about my TBR. I have sticky notes everywhere with titles or authors I want to check out. It's gotten a little crazy...
