My Review:   I was so eager to get my hands on this book after enjoying the first so thoroughly.  And, I'm happy to say, this one didn't disappoint.

I was immediately thrown back into the story with Teagan, Finn, and the rest of the gang.  The author flawless wove this story into the first, starting right where the last had left off.  I've noticed. in both books that I've read by Kersten Hamilton, that she really has a talent of making things flow perfectly.  Nothing felt over done or choppy.  It was all smooth.  The plot line of the story was never forced and the characters were all realistic and believable.

The thing I enjoyed most in this book was Teagan's character growth and her relationship with Finn.  Tea is quickly changing from a sweet, innocent girl into someone who is willing to risk her own life and do anything she can to keep her family and friends safe.  Even so, through all of the crap she goes through she still stays herself.  She is still a healer and someone who cares about the beauty and life all around her.  She still has her plan.  And she still has Finn.  I admire the way he sticks by her no matter what.  It refreshing.  He hasn't (and probably won't) pull the whole disappearing act that seems to happen all to often with YA boys.  He's faithful to Teagan and wants to enjoy every moment he has with her.  And I absolutely adore him for that.

The plot was more fast paced than the first but it didn't take away from the story line.  Everything was still interesting and beautiful and terrifying.  Though this one didn't spend nearly as much time on descriptions of Mag Mell which was both a positive and a negative.  In the first book, I really liked the amazing imagery.  It was like the author was painting a picture in my head of everything the characters were seeing.  In this book, there was less time spent lingering on the details and more action and adventure.

Another amazing installment in this series.  I'm not sure when the third one will be released but I am anxiously waiting for that day to come!
