I think they were more kiddie lit than YA maybe--Behind the Bedroom Wall for history, Shades of Gray for history (not 50 shades!), A Long Walk to Water (I only read a little with her), Touching Spirit Bear and a few more I can't remember. At home I read to my kids even though they are older.
